Case Assignment

The Chief Trial Deputy reviews all felony filings to determine if a quick resolution of the case is possible and if not, assigns the case to one of seven felony deputies. Cases are primarily assigned to prosecutors that have certain areas of specialization The current areas of specialization are:

• sexual offenses
• drug offenses
• vehicular homicide and vehicular assault
• violent offenses
• checks and fraudulent offenses
